Bosch To Open Express Bike Service Centers All Across India

Hello Dear Readers. :) . Some more exciting news.

Tired of getting bad service for your bike at official service centers? Fear not. Apparently Bosch, an international manufacturer of Automobile components who provides their products to major automobile manufacturers will soon set up Motorbike Service Centers in India. These service centers are termed Express Bike Service (EBS).

Bosch have already opened 10 EBS  outlets in Coimbatore city following the lines of sole service center in Delhi.

Speaking on the announcement S Muralidharan, vice-president (automotive aftermarket), Bosch Ltd said,“With Bosch Car Service, Express Car Service and now Express Bike Service, Bosch has set new benchmarks in the service domain and we are planning aggressively to expand our footprint.” While Bosch has a vast range of products in every vehicular segment, it also has wide range of vehicle diagnostics and workshop equipment. This when clubbed with its technical training capabilities and workshop processes training makes Bosch the most comprehensive service provider. EBS inherits each of the above strengths including advanced Bosch petrol injection systems for 2 wheelers, sets out to revolutionise the 2 Wheeler service concept in India. Overall, EBS holds a good proposition for the entrepreneur who wishes to set up a quality service workshop for 2 wheelers on one hand and a good value to the 2 wheeler vehicle owner which is a typical Bosch workshop concept offer.

Bosch is planning a clustered franchise expansion in india approach where it plans to have 50 automobile franchise outlets across the country, with 10 outlets in each city. Over a period of time it will scale up to 500 such two wheeler service franchisee outlets across India. The company will train the mechanics and will also provide the parts required for the servicing. The franchisee will build, operate and manage the franchise. With this the company plans to organize the bottom of two wheeler servicing pyramid, which is frequented by the road side mechanic, who is extremely unorganized and ill -equipped. With giants like Castrol and Bosch experimenting with this segment, it surely is set to get a face lift.
Murlidharan was of the opinion that though the prices of petrol are uncertain these days in India, there will be a massive increase in the two wheeler service space in tire II and III towns including the rural areas and thus the company sees a lot of scope in the industry. Lastly speaking on the future of the initiative; Mr. V.P said that the company is under stages of planning for 24*7 mobile service centers in the future.

This certainly is Good news as we will have organizations which focus on Servicing as the sole part of thier business plan, thus ensuring motorbike servicing of the highest standards. Earlier Catrol had attempted to provide this kind of service to Indian Two wheeler owners, but they had not been successful in doing so. Let us hope that Bosch is successful where Castrol failed. Here s to hoping Bosch is successful and wishing them All the best.
