Mahindra Two Wheelers launches Gusto 110 VX Special Edition at ₹52,010

Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited has just launched a new special edition of their 110 cc Activa challenger, the Gusto.





The automatic scooter is the country’s first product in the segment with a unique height adjustment feature and will only be available on the top end VX variant. This edition will carry a sticker price of ₹52,010 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s ₹2,000/- more than the standard version.

Mechanically the scooter is powered by the same 109.6 cc air cooled engine with a maximum power 8 BHP at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque 9 NM at 5,500 rpm. The seat height is 770 mm in the higher position and can be brought down to 735 mm if the need be. Apart from the beige color panels on the fixtures/interiors and floor board, the special editions get two new paint schemes:


  • Pacific Matte Blue





  • Crimson Matte Red


Other features of the special edition include a remote flip key, find-me lamps, guide lamps, a bright halogen headlamp with LED pilot lamps, easy front kick and a handy quick storage compartment. Mahindra will also be offering the scooters on the e-commerce platform - Paytm and can be booked for an amount of ₹5,000.

Mahindra, which has been a force to reckon with in the Indian Two wheeler industry since 2008 when Mahindra and Mahindra limited took over the Kinetic Motor Company Limited. It currently has 5 Scooters in production -

  • Kine
  • Gusto

TVS to launch two scooters and one motorcycle in 2013



TVS Motor Company is planning to launch three new products in 2013 and this will comprise a motorcycle in the executive segment and two automatic scooters.  The company is also planning to bring back the “Victor” brand via an upcoming motorcycle.

Honda to launch the CB150R Streetfire in February


Honda recently announced an Indian offensive, promising to launch new bikes and scooters every quarter of 2013. Staying true to their word, Honda recently introduced the Dio, Activa and Aviator scooters with revised engine technology. There’s now news the next Indian Honda is going to be the CB150R Streetfire, set for launch in just a few days, in February 2013.
